Sand Dunes Michigan Engagement w/ Melissa + Jessie

I’ve known Melissa close to a decade now and we’ve always kept in touch via social media throughout the years. It’s crazy because she started in photography before I did and I have always admired her work. Fast forward a decade and she choose me to document and capture her engagement and her upcoming wedding to Jessie.

We had this idea to go to Silver Lake Sand Dunes for so long and they were such troopers. They traveled an hour plus away with me to Silver Lake Sand Dunes, got lost with me down a sketchy ass road, then climbed the massive dunes with me right in time for the sunset! And I must say, it was all so worth it.

The hike up the dunes was pretty intense for Melissa and I. However, Jessie made it up the dunes with no problem (go figure, right?) I may or may not had to pause several times to catch my breath. But once we got to the top, it felt like we were in a completely different world and it was breathtaking. 

Photographing Melissa + Jessie is a dream. Their session makes me even more excited to be a part of their big day next year!
