It’s been an exhausting year with trying to find a sense of “normalcy”. This year, I opted to spend my birthday a bit off the grid and unplugged. It was a nice little reset for me mentally and physically.

I saw a friend stay at one of these tiny cabins on Instagram and had to book one for my birthday. It came with a lot of modern amenities so it definitely felt like “glamping”. It had a queen-sized bed, a shower, AC / heat, toilet, a mini kitchen, mini-fridge, plus a fire pit to grill food outside. And, they are dog-friendly!

My cell phone barely worked out there and that was nice since I could lounge around and enjoy the peace & quiet. We were also close to South Haven & Saugatuck and this trip allowed us to visit both beach towns and enjoy the local businesses when we were ready to head back into town.
