Downtown Grand Rapids Senior Session

I met Josh and his family through 61syx Teknique Street Dance Community. I usually attend their dance battles and take photos of the students dancing. From there, I had a few parents, including Josh’s reach out to take photos for their child’s senior session and I couldn’t be happier to be trusted with capturing their senior portraits.

We started downtown at the GRAM. I love the Grand Rapids Art Museum because it always provides very balanced lighting no matter the time of day. It’s a great space to get everyone nice and warmed up for photos.

From there, we headed to Aquinas because their campus is known for their beautiful fall colors on campus. Naturally, we migrated back downtown to do a little more street style of photography to represent Josh’s love for bboying.

Of course, his brothers joined for a few shots too and we had so much fun!
