61Syx Senior Session in the 616

I remember when Hornet - otherwise known as Nic - first joined 61Syx Street Dance Acamedy. He was this shy little boy with glasses that magnified his eyes. Fast forward 10 years later, he has contacts now and is WAY too cool, and I’m photographing his senior portrait session. Time really flies.

Because he’s a bboy, we wanted his session to really reflect that. We took his portraits downtown Grand Rapids starting at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. His session was fairly nostalgic for me because not far from this location, the crew used to perform at Rosa Parks Circle every single Wednesday at Blues on the Mall.

Nic also wanted some fun murals in his session. Thankfully, the Creston Neighborhood has plenty for us to choose from.
